Many people board their alpacas from time to time.  We offer a complete boarding service. Some of the many reasons you might board some, or all, of your animals include:

  • You are just getting started, and your farm isn't quite ready for the alpacas.

  • You want to learn more about how to care for your alpacas before taking them home with you.

  • You are going on vacation and need someone to care for your alpacas while you are gone.

  • You want to own alpacas now and build a herd until you are ready to purchase and/or prepare land and shelter for them.

  • You want a pet alpaca you can come visit and learn to care for but don't live where you can keep it.

  • You want to breed your female alpacas to a male alpaca we have on our farm.

  • You own an alpaca herdsire that you want to promote to breeders in the area but don't have the time to do it yourself.

We treat your alpacas like our own You can count on the same care and attention we give our own animals, including the following:

  • Routine health care, e.g. deworming, weighing and body scoring, trimming nails, fecal analysis as needed, and periodic vet check.

  • Feed and hay and supplements for good health.

  • Monitoring of breeding as agreed.

  • Watchful attention to pregnant female alpacas, especially as their due date is near.

  • Care and monitoring of newborn alpacas.

  • Weaning and halter training for your alpacas as agreed.

  • Accurate detailed records of all the care each alpaca receives from our database.

  • Snapshots of your alpacas for you to cherish.

  • Birthing of crias per agreeements.
